Prince Constantin of Nassau, the second child and eldest son of Prince Jean of Luxembourg and his first wife, Helene Vestsur, recently became the father of a son, Felix, who was born sometime in April, according to the mother's Instagram page.
The mother is Kathryn "Katy" Mechie. They have been good friends for many years, having first met at Ampleforth College, a private Roman Catholic boarding school.
They also both attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Katy is the daughter of Stewart Campbell Mechie, who practices veterinary medicine in North Yorkshire, and Kaye MacEwan.
Miss Melchie is the Regional PR & Communications Manager, iflix Africa.
Prince Constantin is a partner in Spallian Africa, a computer software firm based in Paris. He was born at Paris on July 22, 1988. His parents' marriage was originally morganatic and he and his siblings had the surname Nassau. Prince Jean's father, Grand Duke Jean, raised Helene and her children to the rank of Countess and Countess of Nassau. In 2004, Grand Duke Henri, Prince Jean's elder brother, issued a decree elevating Jean's four children to Prince and Princess of Nassau with the qualification of royal highness. Prince Constantin and his siblings do not have succession rights.
