On June 27, the Princess of Wales opened Hope Street Centre in Southampton, which provides "support to women in a holistic environment providing a much-needed place in the community where women can recover without the need for their children to be removed into care. "

Hope Street is a "pioneering purpose-built residential community across Hampshire designed with women and children at its heart."  It was built by One Small Thing, a charity founded by Lady Edwina Grosvenor.

The mission of One Small Thing is to "redesign the justice system for women and their children."

Lady Edwina, 41, is the second of four children of the late Gerald, 7th Duke of Westminster, and Natalia Phillips.   Since 2010, she has been married to historian Dan Snow.  They have three children: Zia, Wolf, and Orla.

The ties between the Royal Family and the Westminsters are through Ladu Edwina's mother, who is the daughter of Harold Phillips and Georgina Wernher.

Georgina was the second of three children of Sir Harold Wernher Bt and Countess Zia Torby, the daughter of Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia and his morganatic wife, Countess Sophie von Merenberg.    Three months after her marriage to Sir Harold in July 1917.  Zia was granted the style and precedence of a daughter of an earl by George V, thus becoming Lady Zia Wernher.

Gina was a lifelong friend of Queen Elizabeth II.  She was one of the Duke of York's godparents.  The late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was the godfather to Gina's only son, Nicholas Phillips.  One of Lady Edwina's godmothers was Diana, Princess of Wales.  The Prince of Wales is the godfather of Hugh, 8th Duke of Westminster, who is one of Prince George of Wales' godparents.
