The marriage between Princess Giovanna of Savoy and King Boris III of Bulgaria will take place in Assisi on October 25.
On the night of the 25th, the historic city will be lit with 20,000 red bulbs. Princess Giovanna has asked that the poor of the city be given a big dinner.
King Boris has sent a thank you telegram to President Herbert Hoover: "I am deeply touched. Thank you sincerely for your heartfelt congratulations and amiable letter."
The king received President Hoover's telegram yesterday.
