According to reports in local German newspapers, the marriage between Prince Georg of Bavaria and Archduchess Isabella of Austria has been "declared void" on an application made by the archduchess's father, Archduke Friedrich. The couple were married in February, but Isabella left the marital home shortly afterward. Prince Georg and his father headed to Vienna, where they asked Emperor Franz Josef to assist with a reconciliation.
The reported grounds for the end of the marriage is incompatibility.
