HRH The Duchess of Parma gave birth to a daughter, on May 9 at the Bronovo Hospital at The Hague. The infant princess weighed 6.10 lbs and is 20.5 inches tall.
The baby will be named Luisa Irene Constance Anna Maria. She will known as Luisa. The Duke and Duchess consider the name to be "both beautiful and powerful."
This is the first child for the Duke and Duchess. The Duke is the eldest son of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and her former husband, the Prince Carlos Hugo, Duke of Parma.
Mother and child are doing well, according to press reports.
