More royal events in London

Kimg Michael of Romania, accompanied by his daughter, Crown Princess Margarita, and son-in-law, Prince Radu, arrived in London earlier today for a four day visit to the United Kingdom.  He and Crown Princess Margarita will be attending the wedding of Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton.

Tonight, the King will be the guest of honor at a dinner given by Sir Gavyn Arthur, the 675th Lord Mayor of London at the  Guild of Freedom.

King Michael  will be the only foreign royal royal at Prince William's wedding who also attended the weddings of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the Prince of Wales and the Lady Diana Spencer.   Five members of the Royal Family will also have attended all three of the weddings. Can you name them?

On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will host a luncheon for the visiting royals at Kensington Palace.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will attend the drinks reception at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London, but will skip the dinner, hosted by Lady Elizabeth Anson, and return to Clarence House for a private dinner with Prince William and Prince Harry.

Princess Alexandra, Prince Michael of Kent, the Duke of Kent and the Lady Saltoun?

it is actually 5 members of the RF who were at the 1947 wedding -- and not Lady saltoun. Alexander Ramsay was not married at that time.

Prince Ruchard, the current Duke of Gloucester - well I think he amde the group photo even if he wasn't at the abbey.
Strange thar Prince Radu wasn't included/invited to the wedding but nice to see Prince Nicholas attending events too.

Michael and Anne were invited, and Anne cannot go (she's frail.)

Prince Richard was not at the wedding, he was only three at the time, and was not a page. But I think he is in the group photo.

Prince Richard of Gloucestershire, now the Duke of Gloucestershire, The Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, Prince Micheal of Kent and the Earl of Harewood?

Bev .. close but no cigar. Prince Richard of Gloucester did not attend the wedding. His older brother was one of the pages. The Earl of Harewood was not on the list of members of the RF attending this wedding .. he's been frail for some time.

and we got a winnah!!!

Trick question: the five were indeed the bride and groom and the three Kent cousins ...

The Countess Mountbatten of Burma and Lady Pamela Hicks will also be in the three for three category.

Countess Mountbatten of Burma and Lady Pamela Hicks? This is a tough question Marlene - thanks for the challenge!

Suzi, the answer to the question is the Queen, Philip, and the Kents.

Lady Mountbatten and Lady Pamela are not members of the Royal Family, but will have attended all three weddings.
