The New York Times is reporting that the "complete failure of all efforts to reduce Princess Helen to take back King Carol as her husband" is the reason for the postponement of Carol's coronation, set for October.
The preparations for the ceremony will continue "along with the reconiliation efforts," but if the reconiliation efforts remain unsuccessful, the coronation probably will be postponed until next spring.
Carol's brother-in-law, King Alexander of Yugoslavia, has promised to attend the ceremony.
