Burger King Willem-Alexander
I know some people will not like this photo. It was sent to me .. and I asked if I could use it on Royal Musings. I was given permission to use the photo.
As I am in the US, and not in the Netherlands, I am not subject to the Dutch media code.
This photo was taken recently at a McDonalds in Leiden with King Willem-Alexander having a bite to eat with, perhaps, his eldest daughter, Amalia, the Princess of Orange.
UPDATE: Amalia, Alexia and Ariane were with their father.

It simply shows that the King of the Netherlands is normal person, which should be respected as he doesn't treat himself above his subjects.
In the Netherlands we tend to respect the RF have their privacy.
In The Hague one can see quite often members of the RF or politicians like the PM walk around
on their private errands and they are not disturbed.
Even taking this photo is unusual and sending it around and giving permission to publish it, even more.
It is not so much a question of legality, but a certain respect and recognition that our RF has a right to a private
life.
The US legal situation is different, we al know this, but there is always the question whether one should
use one' s right or not. But of course, that is to the individual to decide.
