The Duke of Gloucester, younger brother of King George VI, will be the first British royal to visit Germany since before the war, reports the New York Times. The Duke is scheduled "to spend four days with the Army of the Rhine." The details of his visit are being worked on now, and the Duke is expected to arrive in Germany on May 15.
He is "expected to inspect the troops" during his stay.
