No one knows how to curtsey, says Zara

I do, actually .. until I was 12, I was required to curtsey to my older German relatives ... Grüss Gott, Tante Trudel, and executed a sweet curtsey ... Even though I am an American, I did curtsey when I was presented to Queen Elizabeth II.

I think it is nice that Zara does. I find it elegant.

But one should not force anybody to do it and should not turn it into a loyalty thing.

One can respect The Queen and any other member of the RF even without a bow or curtsey.

curtseying is pure tradition.

When I was a child in Germany, this was not a question. Every girl had to curtsey to an older woman. It was done without thinking.

Ina, I had to be reminded when I was in Germany visiting relatives. In the US, my German-born grandparents certainly did not expect me to curtsey to them.
