Lady Violet Manners has said yes to her "Caledonian Cowboy. The engagement was announced on her Instagram account.
The Cowboy is William James Lindesay-Bethune, Viscount of Garnock, Master of Lindsay, son and heir of James Randolph Lindesey-Bethune, 16th Earl of Lindsay, and his wife, Diana Mary (nee Chamberlayne-Macdonald.) He was born on December 1990.
Lord Garnock proposed in Colorado.
Lady Violet Diana Louise Manners is the eldest daughter of David Charles Robert, Manners, the 11th Duke of Rutland, and his wife, Emma (nee Watkins. ) She was born on August 18, 1993.In 2017, Lady Violet and her two younger sisters, Lady Alice, and Lady Eliza were profiled in Vanity Fair magazine. Lady Violet's paternal grandmother, Frances Sweeny married the 10th Duke of Rutland in 1958. Frances was the daughter of Charles Sweeny, an American golfer and socialite, and Scottish heiress Margaret Wigham, who in 1951 married the 11th Duke of Argyll.
