The health of Crown Princess Elizabeth, the wife of Crown Prince George of the Hellenes, is "causing anxiety," according to a Central News Dispatch from Athens. The princess has developed a high fever that has ranged between 102 and 104 She has also suffered several hemorrhages.
An earlier dispatch stated that the Crown Princess is suffering from typhoid fever.
Crown Prince George is the eldest son of King Constantine and Queen Sophie of the Hellenes. He married Princess Elizabeth of Romania, the eldest daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Marie, in Bucharest on February 27, 1921.
Queen Sophie and Queen Marie are first cousins, both are granddaughters of Queen Victoria. Marie's eldest son, Crown Prince Carol, is married to Sophie's eldest daughter, Princess Helen.
Case of double wedding, double trouble. Those families should have stayed cousins.
