Archduke Leopold Salvator of Austria is in critical condition in a Vienna hospital. He was brought to the hospital yesterday "mysteriously bruised" and, according to his doctors, his condition has "grown steadily worse," reports the Associated Press.
The 67-year-old archduke is believed to have been in an auto accident. He is married to Infanta Blanca of Spain, eldest child of Infante Carlos of Spain, Duke of Madrid, the Carlist pretender to the throne. They are the parents of ten children.
It is understood that the archduke left his home in Barcelona to spend some time at his Viennese residence, 29 Argentinienstrasse. He was found "critically injured" outside his home, said his son Archduke Leopold who lives in NYC.
