The New York Times is reporting that the "final chapter in the tragedy  Frau Zubkoff, wife of a Russian adventurer," ended today when a bankruptcy commissioner paid off her creditors "as well as the condition of the estate permitted."

Frau Zubkoff was born Princess Viktoria of Prussia, a younger sister of former Kaiser Wilhelm II, who now lives in exile in the Netherlands.    She died at the age of 63 last November 13 in Bonn.

The Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe "brought up preferential claims at 80 to 100% of their value up to the amount of $50,000."  Thirty percent of 75,000 worth of "ordinary claims" were also paid.

A further $100,000 claims were not met, but it is understood that "protests will not be filed."
