"His Majesty the King will accept the blood test, now that he is compelled to do so, stated Guy Hiernaux,  who is King Albert II's lawyer."  He added that the king will comply with the order "on the condition that the results are kept secret until Belgium's highest court rules on the appeal against the order."

Shortly after he abdicated,  Delphine Boel, who says that she is the daughter of Albert and Baroness Sybille de Selys Longchamps, who had an extra-marital affair.

Miss Boel was born in 1968.  According to her lawyers,  Albert "privately recognized her as his daughter" and provided financial support.  But after he succeeded his brother, King Baudouin, in 1993, he allegedly telephone Delphine and told her "now we cut ties."
