Infanta Beatriz, eldest daughter of former King Alfonso XIII of Spain, will have a "trousseau made in Spain, exclusively of Spanish materials," when she marries Prince Alessandro Torlonia next January, reports the New York Times.
The infant was said to be "the most distressed member of the royal family at having to leave Spain after the 1931 revolution."
She wanted to have her bridal gown to be made in Spain. A group of Spanish noblewoman formed a committee to raise funds for the wedding trousseau. The fund opened today, and "donations as small as one peseta are invited."
