Greece to sell Tatoi and other properties

It has come to this. Greece,  a very debt-laden nation, is planning to sell property in London, Belgrade and Athem
One of the Greek properties that will be offered for sale is the "partially-ruined" Tatoi, one of country home of the Greek royl family. Some years ago, the Greek government compensated King Constantine II for the loss of Tatoi and other properties.

The Tatoi estate includes "40 outbuildings, stables and the graves of several members of the royal family dating back to 1880," according to the Daily Telegraph.

Perhaps Crown Princess Pavlos' very, very rich father can write a very, very large check and return Tatoi to its rightful owners!

  2. Just a minor correction, it is Crown Prince Pavlos very, very rich father-in-law, not father :-)

  3. MAH, perhaps you might need glasses ... I wrote Crown PRINCESS Pavlos, not Crown Prince Pavlos ....At the time of the marriage, the king announced MC would be officially styled as Crown Princess Pavlos

  4. From what I read, the mention of Tatoi is a ploy to make the EU believe Greece is serious about selling state assets...after all that money spent and the embarrassment at the EU Court of Justice for a few brownie points from the leftists in classic Greek demagoguery...10 years on they still can't fix the place up..

  5. Marlene, the crown princess is listed as "Princess Marie Chantal" on the Greek Royal Family's website. Oddly though her husband is listed as prince, not crown prince. Tatiana, likewise, is listed with her given name.

  6. Charles, at the time of the wedding, Constantine issued a statement that said Marie Chantal would be styled as HRH Crown Princess Pavlos, not HRH Crown Princess Marie Chantal ... the website is not always the best source of information. He has not issued a new statement regarding MC's title.
