Princess Margaret appears to have "lost another beau to a close friend, apparently leaving just one suitor for her royal hand," reports United Press, based on an article in the London Star.
Lord Ogilvy, 24, eldest son and heir to the Earl of Airlie, is to marry 21-year-old Lady Pamela Mountbatten.
The London Star said the Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma will announce their younger daughter's engagement soon.
For the past year, Lord Ogilvy and the Earl of Dalkeith, 27, have been "Margaret's main beaux," but it now appears that Lord Dalkeith will win Margaret's hand. The Princess, 20, is '"fast approaching the age at which royalty gets married."
