Hereditary Prince Heinrich Donatus of Schaumburg-Lippe has confirmed he is engaged to marry American businesswoman Emily Liu.  He told Bunte: "We are getting married."

The 32-year-old prince is the only child of HSH Alexander, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe, and his first wife, Princess Marie Louise "Lily" of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg.

"The two are a perfect match.  We welcome Emily with open arms and are delighted for them both," Prince Alexander told the BILD newspaper.

Donatus, known as "Teddy," proposed to Emily in April during a hike in nature.  For three years, they maintained a "long-distance relationship" between San Francisco and Schloss Bückeburg.  Miss Liu recently moved into Schloss Bückeburg, as the wedding will take place in Germany.

The young prince is a graduate of the British military academy, Sandhurst, where he was commissioned into the Household Cavalry Life Guards.  He is active in the international "startup and venture capital scene" and is involved with The Embassy, a platform in San Francisco "for European founders seeking to expand into the US market."

Miss Liu is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants.  She was raised in Connecticut, and then settled in San Francisco,  where she co-founded HFO (Hacker Fellowship Zero), "a start-up accelerator that provides 12-week residencies for batches of fellows from 10 different start-ups."

Princess Marie Immaculata of Liechtenstein weds Georgian businessman Zurab Dzidziguri

@Princess Kristine Bagration-Mukhrani

HSH Princess Marie Immaculata Elisabeth Rose Adelgunde of Liechtenstein and Zurab Dzidziguri were married on October 31st at St. Peter's Church in Vienna.  The Georgian Orthodox service took place in a Roman Catholic church.  The wedding crowns were loaned by the groom's sister, Kristine and her husband, Prince Juan Bagration-Mukhrani.

A Catholic blessing followed the Orthodox service.

The bride, 34,  is the second daughter of HSH Prince Gundakar Albert Alfred Petrus of Liechtenstein and HRH Princess Marie Isabelle Marguerite Anne Geneviève of Orléans.  She is the granddaughter of HSH Prince Johann Baptist Moritz Heinrich Alfred Ildefons Benedikt Maria Josef (Hans Moritz) of Liechtenstein and HSH Princess Clotilde Alberta Maria Franziska Xaveria Andrea of Thurn und Taxis and HRH Prince  Henri Philippe Pierre Marie, Count of Paris, and HRH Duchess Marie-Therese Nadejda Albertine Rosa Philippine Margarethe Christine Helene Josepha Martina Leopoldine of Württemberg.

Her uncle,  Prince Jean, Count of Paris, is the head of the French royal family.

The princess is a Chief Investment and Partners Officer with Marti Holding in Batumi, Georgia.  She also works part-time with PMCG (Policy and Management Consulting Group), based in Arlington, Virginia.

In March 2026, she joined the board of LGT Venture Philanthropy, "an independent charitable foundation established by LGT Group Foundation in 2007."   The LGT Group Foundation is owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein.

Zurab Dzidziguri is a project manager at Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency, a start-up company.  He is the son of Temur Dzidziguri and Lali Vashakidze.  He is also a trained tenor who "showcased his talent, performing an operatic number with friends," at the reception at Vienna's Hotel Imperial.  The newlyweds traveled by horse and carriage from the church to the hotel.

The groom's sister, Kristine, is married to Prince Juan Bagration-Mukhrani, a grandson of Prince Irakly  Bagration-Mukhrani, whose younger sister, Princess Leonide, married Grand Duke Wladimir of Russia, the parents of Grand Duchess Maria, head of the Imperial House of Russia.

The day after the wedding, Princess Kristine provided details in her Instagram post.   Unfortunately, she has since deleted that post.

She said:  "The announcement of their engagement had not been made public until now, due to the dynastic rules of the Princely House of Liechtenstein.

Princess Maria Immaculata first visited Georgia in 2021.  According to her new sister-in-law,  "The story began five years ago in Tbilisi. Maria-Immaculata first visited Georgia in 2021. It was in Tbilisi that Zurab and Lata met. Their relationship soon became a special friendship and a great love."

"Wherever your destiny takes you, your feet will lead you there.' This Georgian saying seems to describe perfectly the love story that has united Georgia with one of the oldest princely dynasties in Europe.

"Today's wedding in Vienna, as well as being a celebration of love, has also become a symbolic meeting of Georgian and European cultures, traditions and family values. I congratulate them from the bottom of my heart on the beginning of a new chapter of happiness."

Princess Kristine's post included no other information, including guests.  Bunte noted that the bride's parents, her brothers, Johann-Wenzel and his wife, Felicitas, and Gabriel, and her sister, Margarete, were among the guests.  The Count and Countess of Paris and Princess Daria of Thurn und Taxis were also present.

According to the German magazine Bunte, the couple first met while both were on a skiing holiday in the Caucasus.

The princess is intent on "building a boutique travel concept focused on bespoke, high-end journeys through Georgia, reflecting a deeper interest in creating experiences rooted in place, culture, and intentional design."

On October 2, Princess Marie Immaculata, who is known as Lata, and Zurab Dzidziguri and his family met with the Georgian Patriarch.
