| All black-and-white images: Marlene A Eilers Koenig Collection Princess Astrid, 94, is the second of three children of King Olav V of Norway and Princess Märtha of Sweden. Her elder sister, Princess Ragnhild, died in 2012 at the age of 82. The Princess, who is now the longest-living descendant of Queen Victoria, is one of five surviving great-grandchildren of King Edward VII, who died in 1910. The four other great-grandchildren are HRH The Duke of Gloucester (1944), HRH The Duke of Kent (1935), HRH Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy (1936), HRH Prince Michael of Kent (1942) and HRH The Duke of Gloucester (1944). |
