Maddison May Brudenell, a granddaughter of Lady Pamela Hicks, is expecting a baby in August, reports the Daily Mail. She is the daughter of Edwina Hicks and her former husband, actor Jeremy Brudenell.
The-mom-to be, who has three children from her first marriage to Nigerian-born musician Olao Modupe-Ojo, who goes by the name Jazz Purple. Their marriage ended in divorce in late 2022.
When she was in the "throes of her divorce, Maddison and her three young children, Daphne, Phebe and Moses, traveled to Canada to visit friends. It was at a lunch in Toronto when she was introduced to a Canadian welder, Bret Kapetanov. They were "instantly smitten." When her flight home was delayed she called Bret. "He said the would come and show me and the kids around. I was a hot mess with all this luggage, three kids. I had one in the pram, one on my chest, and Daphne holding my hand; but he was totally unfazed."
Lady Pamela, who will celebrate her 95th birthday in April, "loves Bret," according to her granddaughter. Brett added: "I've met her quite a few times, and we get along very well."
The couple plan to marry at St. Mary the Virgin Church in the Chiltern Hills after the birth of their child.
The reception will be held at The Grove, Lady Pamela's Oxfordshire home.
