Queen Margrethe II can act as head of state after abdication

A new press release from the Danish Royal House's Communication office states that following her abdication on January 14,  Queen Margrethe II will become one of four people who can serve as regent if King Frederik X and Crown Prince Christian are out of the country at the same time. 

The other members of the Royal Family who can perform this function will be Queen Mary, Prince Joachim, and Princess Benedikte.
