The Grand Ducal Palace today announced that HRH Princess Alexandra and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, are expecting their first child in the spring. The couple were married in April 2023 in a civil ceremony in Luxembourg, followed by a Roman Catholic service at Saint Trophyme Church in Bormes-les-Mimosas, Var, France.
The princess is seventh in line to the throne, but she will fall to eighth place after her sister-in-law, Princess Claire, the wife of Prince Felix, gives birth to her third child.
Alexandra is the fourth child and only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.
The new baby will follow his/her mother in the line of succession, but will not have a title nor will be a member of the Grand Ducal Family, which includes the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, the Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess and their two sons, Prince Charles and Prince Francois, Prince Felix and Prince Claire, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sebastien.
Prince Felix's children are not members of the Grand Ducal Family but are members of the Grand Duke's family.
Congratulation.
