Grand Duke George and Princess Victoria are spending their summer visiting Madrid, where George's mother, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna lives, and Italy, where Victoria's parents reside.
They were recently in Rome, which Victoria calls a "still sublime city," according to an interview with Paris Match magazine.
Princess Victoria is in her seventh month of pregnancy and will return to Russia to give birth. This will be the first Romanov birth in Russia since 1917, when Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna gave birth in Porvoo, to a son Grand Duke Vladimir.
At the time, Porvoo was in the Grand Duchy of Finland, a part of the Russian Empire.
Grand Duke Vladimir was Grand Duke George's grandfather.
