According to the official statement, The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess look forward to introducing him to the people of Luxembourg.

The new little prince is the second member of the Grand Ducal family to have the first name Charles, which is certainly in honor of the late Grand Duchess Charlotte.   The first Prince Charles (1927-1977) was the younger son of the late Grand Duchess Charlotte and her husband, Prince Felix of Bourbon-Parma.

  1. It's a good information. There will have still a Bourbon who is a Capetian on a throne of an European contry in the XXIInd centuary.

  2. As Thierry says, I am so glad the the born in Parma dynasty will continue for another generation. While I approve of the changed in succession laws to give females equality, because royal royal marriages don't occur anymore it does mean the old royal dynasties are disappearing.
