New Russian postcards

A friend brought these cards back for me from Russia.   The first six cards are from the Yusopov museum.  Prince Felix Yusopov, a member of one of Russia's wealthiest families, married Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia, a niece of Nicholas II.

  1. Yes. Felix, Irina and their daughter and both sets of parents got out. Felix, Irina and little Irina were among the passengers on the HMS Marlborough. His parents also left, but lost all their fortune.

After Nicholas' abdicated, Felix and Irina returned briefly to their home, the Moika palace, to get jewelry and 2 Rembrandt paintings .. this is how they financed their exile- as well as the money Felix received from the lawsuit against MGM>
