Princess Eugenie to marry Jack Brooksbank
@Buckingham Palace
More than a year ago, I wrote a piece on the possibility of Princess Eugenie's engagement and included information on Jack Brookbank's ancestry.
Marlene do you think the Queen will give him a title? Or do you suppose with Prince Charles wanting a more slimmed down family that this will not happen? She is a grand daughter and I hope he gets one. Pretty sure Prince Andrew will be vocal about it either way.
He will not get a title. Why? Eugenie is not a working royal. Alexandra and Angus turned down an earldom as did Anne and Mark. Antony Armstrong Jones got the earldom a month before David was born.
Oh you are funny, Malta. Eugenie will not receive a dukedom in her own right. Her husband will not receive a title Eugenie is not a working royal. Princesses do not get peerages in their own right.

ReplyDeleteMaybe a Earl?

ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene. I was just wondering if the Queen might offer one up.
DeleteYou watch, a Dukedom to be offered to Eugenie, is 5-1. Earldom 2-1.

ReplyDeleteDuke and Duchess of York was unexpected to me, I'd almost expect the wording to say HRH The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York.
