The Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe and his favorite horse

This postcard was sent in 1915 to Elisabeth Benckendorff who lived in Nurnberg.  The caption reads  Prince Adolf of Schaumburg-Lippe with his favorite horse.

Adolf I, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe (1883-1936), was the eldest son of Georg, Prince of Schaumberg-Lippe, and Princess Marie of Saxe-Altenburg.  He  renounced the throne on November 16, 1918.  On January 10, 1920, he married Ellen Bischoff-Korthaus.  They were killed in an air crash in Mexico on March 26, 1936.  No Children.
