Princess Marie Antoinette (1898-1984) , Princess Irene (1899-1939) and Prince Friedrich Gunther (1901-1971) of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt
They were the children of Prince Sizzo of Schwarzburg and Princess Alexandra of Anhalt. Marie Antoinette married Friedrich Magnus v, Count of Solms-Wildenfels.
Irene did not marry. Prince Friedrich Gunther married Princess Sophie of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. There were no children, and the marriage ended in divorce. Friedrich was the last male in the family. The line became extinct with his death.
Do you know what became of Sophie after her divorce from Friedrich Gunther or why they divorced, on paper it looked like a good match.
ReplyDeleteNo idea. They divorced several months after the wedding. Nothing in US/UK press about wedding. Incompatibility, one was gay, infidelity, all sorts of things. Neither married again.
