In the group wedding picture I definitely spotted Lord Mountabatten and I thought Beatrix of the Netherlands. Standing behind a man on the left who is turned to the side (who I think looks like David Niven but I assume isn't) is a woman who could possibly be Princess Margaret. Any idea if it is? Anyone else I'm missing?"
ReplyDeleteIn Finland, the death of the Landgrave Maurice has naturally created some interest, and his family history has again been reported, see for example:

Do you speak German Marlene? Please translate the card, if you don't mind
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the kind congratulations for my birthday
ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene. How many languages do you speak?
ReplyDeleteMy German is not as good as it used to be (not that it was ever really good). I know the important words in French and Spanish such as birth, death, marriage, divorce, boy, girl, expecting a baby, engaged.
ReplyDeleteI also know the word for bathroom in Icelandic.
