No Cumberland marriage for the Crown Prince
May 3, 1903
The Berlin Norddeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung, the official "government organ," has published an official denial regarding the rumors of marriage between Crown Prince Wilhelm, eldest son of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and Princess Alexandra of Cumberland, according to the Marquise de Fontenoy.
The newspaper "denounces as groundless" the report that the Crown Prince and Princess Alexandra are to meet at Karlsruhe this summer. The newspaper also denies that the Kaiser will meet with the Duke of Cumberland in the fall at Gmunden in Austria.
