Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands registered his daughter today with the names Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, Princess of Orange-Nassau, Princess of Lippe-Biesterfeld, reports the New York Times.
He told reporters that the name Beatrix was chosen for "no particular reason" but "we both like it."
The other two names honor the infant princess's maternal and paternal grandmothers.
Princess Juliana, heiress to the Dutch throne, gave birth to Princess Beatrix yesterday.
