Come home, Luise

January 8, 1903

Archduke Josef Ferdinand of Austria, younger brother of the Crown Princess of Saxony, is heading to Geneva for a second visit to his sister,  according to the latest New York Times dispatch.

Josef Ferdinand is going to Geneva at the behest of Austria Emperor Franz Josef, who appears to be "renewing his attempt to induce" Crown Princess Luise to end her relationship with Professor Andre Giron.

Professor Giron, who was the tutor to the Crown Princess' children, has left Geneva and is now in Lausanne, where he will remain during the divorce proceedings between the Crown Princess and her husband, Crown Prince Friedrich August.  The Crown Princess' lawyers advised Giron to go to Lausanne, and then to Austria, to "take up a residence" there.
