The Daily Express, a London newspaper, reports today on the revival of a story that Tsarevich Alexis of Russia was the "victim of Nihilism."
The report asserts that the only son of Emperor Nicholas II is "suffering the effects of a wound" made by a once loyal servant, now believed to be a Nihilist.
The report further states that the young heir "cannot succeed to the throne," and the "appointment of an heir-designates" is under discussion at the the Russian Court.
Nicholas II's younger brother, Grand Duke Michael, has renounced his rights to the throne.
A dispatch to the Times of London from St. Petersburg states that there will be a "variation of the regency law" due to Grand Duke Michael's renouncement.
