A correspondent for London's Daily Mail has sent a dispatch from Livadia Russia, regarding the current state of Empress Alexandra's health. She has, according to the report, "fallen into a condition of deep melancholy, which takes the form of preserving silence for long periods, even the the presence of guests."
The Empress' condition is "causing her doctors considerable anxiety."
The reason for Empress Alexandra's melancholy has not been made public.
