The "recently founded" Free Austrian Movement hosted a dinner tonight at Essex House in New York City in honor of the thirtieth birthday of Archduke Otto, reports the New York Times.
Otto is the pretender to the former Austrian throne, and the eldest son of the late Emperor Karl I.
In a brief speech, Otto thanked the more than 500 guests who attended the dinner, and expressed "complete solidarity" of the Free Austrian Movement "with the cause of the United States." He added that a "victory for America will be a victory for our own country."
The funds raised at this dinner will help with the "relief of Austrian citizens stranded in Europe and Africa."
