I think HRH Princes Alexander & Philipp are Crown Prince's sons but not Princess Katherine's. Their mother is HRH Princess Maria Pia of Savoy, if I remember well.
ReplyDeleteRose, you are not remembering well :) Katherine is their stepmother, but largely raised Crown Prince Alexander's three sons, by his first wife, Maria da Gloria of Orleans Braganca. He got custody of the three boys in the divorce.
ReplyDeletePrince Alexander, son of Paul, married Maria Pia of Savoy. They have twin sons, Dimitri and Michel. (The second set of twins were fathered by Michel de Bourbon Parma.)
Crown Prince Alexander's press releases usually refer to "their sons"
Marlene, was Maria Pia of Savoy having an affair with Michel de Bourbon Parma? Paternity of Prince Sergius and Princess Helen of Yugoslavia was attributed to Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia, although I note that the marriage of Maria Pia and Alexander broke down shortly after the birth of the second set of twins.
DeleteMarlene, do you know why the marriage of Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Maria da Gloria of Orleans Braganza broke down? Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Maria da Gloria remarried shortly after the divorce.
ReplyDeleteYes. Maria da Gloria was having an affair with the man who became her second husband... and Alexander got custody of their sons in the divorce
ReplyDeleteThat's sad. They used to hold hands when they were married and there might be a chance of a restoration of the Serbian monarchy. Well, I guess being married to a potential king doesn't guarantee fidelity. I remember CP Alexander was asked why his first marriage ended in divorce and he was being gracious by telling the reporter that it just didn't work out.
ReplyDeleteYes. Alexander was their legal father, but not their biological father. Serge looks very much like Prince Michel.
