Royal engagement: Bourbon-Two-Sicilies

July 6, 1932

It was announced today in Cannes that Prince Gabriel of Bourbon-Two Sicilies is engaged to marry Princess Cecilia Lubomirska, according to the New York Times.

Prince Gabriel and Princess Cecilia, a member of one of Poland's princely families, began their romance in France about a year ago.   The date of the wedding has not been announced.

This will be the second marriage for Prince Gabriel, the 12th child and youngest son of Prince Alfonso, Count of Caserta, and Princess Maria Antonietta of Bourbon-Two-Sicilies.  His first wife, whom he married in 1927, was Princess Malgorzata Czartoryska.  She died in March 1929, less than two months after giving birth to a son, Prince Antoine.
