Is it possible that the bachelor King Edward VIII has finally found his Queen?  According to the latest rumors,  the queen-in-waiting is HRH Princess Friederike Luise Thyra Viktoria Margarete Olga Cecile Isabelle Christa of Hanover, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg.  The Duchess is the former Princess Viktoria Luise of Prussia, the only daughter of the late Kaiser Wilhelm II.

The Duke of Brunswick - HRH Prince Ernst August of Hanover - is the son of the Duke of Cumberland, who was stripped of his British peerages in 1917, and Princess Thyra of Denmark, who was the younger sister of Queen Alexandra,  who was King Edward's paternal grandmother.

Princess Friederike was born at Blankenburg, Harz, on April 18, 1917.
