Duchess of Cornwall gets Victorian Order

The Duchess of Cornwall received a nice wedding present from Queen Elizabeth II.  It was announced earlier today that Queen has appointed the Duchess as Dame Grand Cross in the Royal Victorian Order.  This is the highest female rank in the Royal Victorian Order, which was founded by Queen Victoria in 1896.

This honor is a private gift from the Queen, and is given to "people who serve her or the monarchy in a personal way."

Since her marriage to the Prince of Wales seven years ago,  Camilla has become "an integral members of the royal family."

It is also an honor well deserved.
