Princess Helen and her son, Crown Prince Michael of Roumania, left today for Mamaia, a Black Sea resort near Constanza, reports the Associated Press. They will spend the rest of the summer at Mamaia.
Young Michael "was in high spirits" at the thought of a "seaside holiday." He was said to be looking forward "to riding his Shetland pony on the sands" and playing with "inflated rubber horses on the beach."
Nine-year-old Crown Prince Michael is the only child of Princess Helen and her former husband, King Carol II.
