QVD Update- death of Berengar Patterson

Less than five months after the death of his twin sister, Marina Patterson Engel,  Berengar Patterson died on May 18 after a five year battle with bone cancer.  He died at the City of Hope, a cancer facility in Duarte, California.  He was 62 years old.

Berengar Patterson was born on August 21, 1948 at Springfield, Missouri, the twin son of Princess Victoria Marina of Prussia and Kirby William Patterson.

Berengar, known to everyone as Bergie, received a master's degree in business and finance at the University of Arizona.  He worked for more than thirty years as a shoe salesman at the high end Rangoni Firenzi shoe store in Pasadena.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, and his younger sister, Dohna Patterson Pearl. 

Bergie and Pam were married in 1994 in Temple City, California.  They lived in Arcadia.

    I have been reading the book the Purple Secret, their is alot in it about his grandmother Adelheid and I was wondering did Viktoria Marina, Berengar and the sisters have contact with Adelheid. Bea

  2. Yes, they did have contact with their grandmother. She visited Victoria Marina in Taos, New Mexico, where she lived.

  5. I have just across come a Newspaper article from 1954 on Princess Victoria Marina which said the then five and a half years old Berengar and Marina answered to the names Lambie and Snookie. I have no idea if Lambie and Snookie were childrens characters.
