Count Folchi - suicide attempt?

June 1, 1905

Last night a short was "heard in the house in which Count Filippo Folchi, the painter," lives with Princess Elvira of Bourbon, daughter of Don Carlos, pretender to the Spanish throne.

The couple live in Florence.   Police found that "Folchi had been wounded in the chest."   He told the police that "the wound was the result of an accident, and was sustained while he was unloading a revolver."  Police "entertain the theory" that Folchi attempted suicide, reports the New York Times.
