Infant daughter of a Habsburg due from Europe

March 4, 1941

Two-month-old Maria Teresa, daughter of Archduchess Assunta of Austria and Dr. Josef Hopfinger,  "is the youngest passenger to fly from Europe to New York by way of Pan American's southern route," reports the New York Times.

Maria Teresa and her parents took off on the Atlantic Clipper tonight "on the last lap of an almost 5,000 mile journey," which will end tomorrow morning in New York City.  They "hope to make New York their home."
