Queen Wilhelmina will give the palace of Soestdyk was a wedding present to Crown Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, according to the Associated Press. The palace was originally "presented to the prince of Orange by the states of the Netherlands." It will be "modernized and refurnished as a part of the wedding gift of the nation."
Crown Princess Juliana, heir to the throne, will be married on January 7.
