Kate's engagement ring

According to ITV's political editor,  Tom Bradby,  Prince William has given Kate his mother's sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

This is actually a nice touch.  The ring, now an heirloom, cost £30,000 in 1981, and it was purchased by the Prince of Wales.  He gave the ring to his fiancee, Lady Diana Spencer.   I am sure William talked with his father about giving the ring to Kate.

Clarence House has confirmed that Kate has been given the late Diana, Princess of Wales' engagement ring.

  1. While I'm not usually given to superstitions, so much has gone wrong in this family, I'm just not sure if that ring isn't a bad omen already.

Along with the wedding being in the year of the 30th anniversary of Charles and Diana's wedding. If William also chooses the same date I might have to declare him completely nuts.

Also, someone teach those two about body language, it was horrifying to watch.

  2. I sincerely doubt that July29 will be chosen. The ring had nothing whatsoever to do with the marriage falling apart. I am sure Wills had a talk with his father about using the ring, which did cost £30,000. The ring represents not a failed marriage but the start of new lives together.
