Duchess Vera heads into the air

November 2, 1908

Count Zeppelin "made a most successful trip in his new airship" today round Lake Constance, according to a New York Times dispatch.  He was accompanied by several women, including Duchess Vera of Württemberg and his own daughter.
The "airship was aloft for one hour."
