Now the Queen can reach out and touch

An "elaborate system of private telephones" has been installed at Windsor Castle, connecting it with the post office, railway stations, Marlborough House and Buckingham Palace. It is expected that this system will be "extended to government offices, Balmoral Castle and Osborne House," according to the Chicago Daily Tribune.
