By special cable to the New York Times. The Prince of Wred has accused a former servant of "stealing silver plate" from his home, Schloss Malchow, and selling it to hotels. Local authorities are investigating the accusations. The Prince's wife is "at present in Spain.
The Prince -- Carl Philipp -- was born in 1862. He succeeded his father in December 1897. On November 19, 1889 in Prague, the Prince of Wrede married Princess Anna von Lobkowicz. They have five children, Princess Maria Helene (1890), Princess Maria Sidonia (1892), Princess Gabrielle (1895), Princess Rosa (1896) and the heir, Prince Carl (1899.)
