A nice profile in the NewYork Times on Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, eldest son of Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia and Princess Maria Pia of Italy. A jewelery designer, Prince Dimitri lives in New York City. He has a twin brother, Michel.

Marlene, thanks for this link. He referred to Queen Elizabeth as Aunt and King Simeon as his uncle. I don't think this is correct. I was wondering if he was really that close to them or was just building up the connection. Also he didn't mention his closer more controversial relations in the Italian royal family. Bea
ReplyDeleteQueen Elizabeth is of course not Dimitri's aunt -and there is not a close relationship, genealogically.
ReplyDeleteDimitri's mother, Maria Pia of Italy, was the daughter of King Umberto, whose sister, Giovanna, married Boris of Bulgaria. Simeon and Maria Pia are first cousins.
